For this project we were wrapping both the clients fence line, as well as their 2 neighbors at the back, and also their next door neighbor also became a client of ours in the process. Despite significant elevation changes all on 3 sides, the end result is another perfectly level fence.

All materials did have to go through the terraced property, so we did have to put down flooring protection inside to protect the clients floor, as well as liase with the clients, the neighbors, and our waste collection suppliers to ensure the homeowners had as little disruption as possible.

The clients selected Jacksons Fencing Hit & Miss Fence Panels to a height of 1.52mt with a 30cm Premier Square Trellis topper. As always the Jacksons slotted fence posts, gravel boards, and their signature capping rails complete the look. The fence panels are screwed into the posts from the inside out with stainless steel screws to ensure they can not be removed or lifted. The area is one of the main roads leading into Wimbledon Village, adjacent to busy schools and a private tennis club, and the owners also had pets. Each evening after the team had finished their work for the day the property had to be completely closed off again versus removing all old Fencing in one day and then beginning the installation.

The old fence was 5 feet high (150cm) with a 2 foot Trellis (60cm). The goal was to recreate Jacksons Fencing Canterbury Combi panels appearance, but slightly higher on the Slat Trellis portion of the Panel and with Heavy Duty Jacksons Posts and Capping Rails for a sturdy finish built to last.

The fence included a rounded corner which, on the inside of the property, included an elevated section of the garden with a very large tree. The Tree protrudes over the fence at approximately 1.8mt height so it was decided to make the tree a feature and not install a Trellis on that Fence bay.

On the inside of this elevated section of the fence we built up a 40cm high retainer wall using Jacksons Fencing Sleepers to protect the Fence from the soil which would press against it and push the fencing out of position.

The client selected Jacksons Fencing Horizontal Tongue and Groove Fence Panels, capping rails, posts, and gravel boards. The primary difficulty was keeping the entire fence line at one height. This was a mature garden which had extensive tree planting over the years, in some cases very close to the property line. Fortunately the neighbors on all sides were fully on board with the project.

We also removed a portion of the Hardwood Decking to square off the framing, repaired the cracked and damaged steps to the Decking on 2 sides, added a new wide step to the lawn area, and built a concrete pad for the hot tub.

The superb Jacksons Fencing provided a clean background canvas for the clients planting project throughout the property.
