Oilcanfinish Outdoor Living are a TrexPro Gold Composite Decking Builder. This project was a replacement of an existing Timber Deck which had deteriorated over time. We expanded the footprint of the new deck to make the space more usable, bringing the decking out to the Fencing on either side to provide more space for furniture. We also centred the new steps and replaced the old planter beds.
For the framining we used Use Class 4 50×150 Joists taped with Trex Protect Joist Tape. The joists are supported on Supreme Concrete Dekposts cemented into the ground. These concrete supports will outlast every decking post support products available in the UK.
The decking itself is Trex Enhance Naturals in Toasted Sand, the lighter brown for the main body of the deck and the vertical fascias on the front. The exterior edging and step detail is Trex Transcend Spiced Rum.
The deck boards have been installed with Trex Starter Clips and Fastenmaster Pro Stainless Steel clips throughout for the Toasted Sand Deck Boards.
The Spiced Rum Deck Boards have been installed with Trex Screws and Cortex Plugs for extremely strong invisible fixings. The cortex plug gets tapped into the screw hole hiding the screw. This feature is only available with the Trex Transcend Decking Board range.
